Les Femmes Sauvages - Sixty-Six
Today, the launch of new town house gallery project, Sixty-Six, conceived by Zoe Lazarus and Carsten Klemann with the idea to give artists an intimate and relaxed domestic setting in which to create new projects.

The first exhibition will feature the work of two San Francisco artists, Kieran Behan and Ashley Hayward working under the name Crystalmafia. The pair currently live and work in Berlin, where they create mixed media work, including painting, installation and photography. For the inaugural exhibition at Sixty-Six they have created work on the theme of Flesh on Metal.

'We love the idea of cold copper and zinc combining with the erotic vintage imagery that we both share an obsession with. Our flesh and the flesh of these forgotten ladies of the night will be pressed to live forever on the walls of the house.'

Kieran and Ashley have been working together and individually since they met aged 18, and most recently they have collaborated on a jewellery collection with cult fashion brand Bless. They will also be documenting the entire creative process and installation at Sixty-Six, generating an additional layer to the multimedia experience.

The exhibition opens tonight, Thursday 12th May, and runs until mid July. All visits are by appointment only. Please contact Zoe Lazarus on sixtysixlondon@gmail.com to arrange a viewing.

I recommend you check out Ashley's Crystalmafia soundcloud stream… some great tracks on there.
