I was born not very long ago near Bath and have spent the past 3 years hiding in Cornwall reading books, doctor wearing jumpers with teddy bears on, ed compulsively dying my hair and finding the best car boot sales in the South West. Now it’s time to leave the sea views and days spent debating underhand Come Dine With Me voting tactics behind and release myself back into the big bad world. My childhood dream of being in the Spice Girl looks less and less likely by the day so I’m devoting myself to the cultural perks of the world around us writing about fashion and music, but mostly whatever takes my fancy.
I’m Camilla, health aka Milly, buy and I have a tendency to day dream, this ramble and doodle designs. I’m an 18 year old A Level student by day and a freelance journalist by night. I love what I do even if I’m always very busy! I’ve written for a variety of magazines but Amelia’s is a favourite because it is so diverse from others. I have a passion for the environment and Amelia’s is one of the very few magazines where this can really shine through, accompanied by my other favourite thing: fashion.
I’ll be studying English and American Literature at university from September, where I hope to improve my writing skills, and find beautiful inspiration from the huge variety of literature I’ll be studying.
I’ve previously helped at fashion shows, model castings and photoshoots, as well as designing clothes myself and doing the odd spot of modelling. I adore all the work I do, and thank Amelia’s Magazine for the most amazing opportunities. It all started with sitting next to Satu Fox at London Fashion Week; the Amelia’s team are some of the loveliest characters you’ll meet in the industry. My aspirations are to work in fashion, hopefully journalism or otherwise as a fashion assistant or in PR. I would love to cover a show in Paris. Matthew Williamson, Alexander McQueen and Ashish are my favourite designers to name a few, but I also adore the lesser known ones such as Papusza Couture and Belle Sauvage. I’m on the look out for internships, and creative writing at all times.
I do have a blog, www.mlle-milly.blogspot.com, which I fit out with posts on events, articles, designers, outfits and much more – feel free to have a peek.
