One to drop in for: the good folk at Maiden on Shoreditch High Street have put together an amazeballs collection of Diana and Charles wedding memorabilia in advance of our next BIG FAT ROYAL WEDDING. Can you believe it was way back in 1981?! I suspect many of my readers were not even born then…
Between now and 3rd May 2011 Maiden will host an amazing array of mugs, tea towels, newspapers from the day, souvenir magazines, jewellery, biscuit tins, money boxes, framed pictures, books, jigsaws. All of them are in mint condition and are on sale at affordable prices starting from £5 for a mug.
The walls of the shop’s basement will be covered with newspaper pages and photographs from the day, where in true Maiden style you'll also be able to buy some fabulous Will and Cake cakes on Thursday 28th April to celebrate the pomp and splendour of Royal Weddings, courtesy of Mad Artists Tea Party (yes, Miss. Cakehead is at it again… remember her from the Cakes for Japan event?).
AND East End Prints are hosting a mini Royal Wedding inspired exhibition with very affordable (amusing) artwork for sale…
Love it.
