Duckie Christmas market
The Duckie Christmas Market starts on 10th December and carries on until the 30th December in the Barbican Foyers. It is part of a wider Duckie Christmas celebration that includes Crafty Christmas workshops in the inimitable anti-corporate Duckie vein. Make this Christmas personal!

Constructive studios-bow_ties
On Saturday there will be another chance to catch the wonderful work of Constructive Studios, by Craig Yamey and Ian Scott Kettle. Craig Yamey features in Amelia's Anthology of Illustration and now his fab designs have been brought to 3-dimensional life as cushions, bow ties, t-shirts and Yam Kids. You can find Constructive Studios at the Duckie Christmas Market between 2pm – 9.30pm on Saturday 10th December. Prices range from £5 to £45 so there is bound to be something to suit everyone.

Constructive Studio-yam kids
The Yam Kids: 4 designs of hand made soft toys: Bolt, Siamese, Hans Downe and Butterfly-Boy. 'All kids need a loving home'.

Another wonderful Amelia's Magazine friend and contributor will also be taking part: Maria Papadimitriou, otherwise known as Plastic Seconds, will be selling her fabulous upcycled jewellery at the market on Sunday 18th, Wednesday 21st and Thursday 22nd December during market opening hours. What's more on Sunday 11th December she will be doing four 1-hour workshops showing visitors how to make funky shades for fairy lights out of plastic bottle tops – booking info here.

Slowly the Eggs Christmas lady cards
And on Tuesday 13th December between 6pm-9.30pm she will put on her 'Slowly The Eggs' hat (under which she illustrates for us) to guide guests through a Christmas card making extravaganza that involves cutting up magazines to create your own versions of her 'Xmas Collage Hat Ladies'! – more info about all the drop in workshops here.

There are sure to be many other reasons why you should visit Duckie Christmas Market – these being just a few! Full details on the Barbican website.
