Magic Kids, signed to Matador Records, are a band from Tennesse who will be playing their first ever UK show at the Barfly. Fans waiting for the release of debut album ‘Memphis’ will be excited to catch the teenagers for the first time in Britain, wowed by their , tinkling xylophone, blasting saxophone, and sweeping string parts.
Allo Darlin’ are somewhat more homegrown. Whilst two members might come from Australia, the band met and formed in London and released their debut album in June this year. They’ve had glowing reviews of their album and their live gigs, and are one to keep an eye on this year.
Tigercats are a newed band from East London. They’re so new there’s not much around about them, but they’re described as a band that makes “noisy music of open-hearted joy and sparkly-eyed adventure”.
