Amelia’s Magazine | Seeking blog contributors…

Do you write about music, art, fashion or environmental matters in a personal way? Do you read Amelia’s Magazine and think “eh up! I could write about this?” Have you got your own blog but fancy gaining a far wider readership? If so then I’m trying a new way of running Amelia’s Magazine online – I’m looking for committed regular contributing bloggers who will be happy to work with a mixture of their own ideas and those that arrive in my inbox and look interesting. Please note that I cannot pay you (there ain’t no money in this blogging malarkey) but I can offer you a well respected brand name under which to publish your work.

If you are interested in becoming an Amelia’s Magazine contributor then please drop me an email with the title I WANT TO WRITE BLOGS FOR YOU detailing what you currently do, especially in the form of blogging, and with some relevant examples of your writing according to the sections you are interested in contributing to. I particularly want to hear from writers who blog and use twitter widely already, and please note the subject matter and style that I favour before you send stuff my way (small, independent, indie, ethical, crafty, personal, amusing) as I’m quite fussy in that department.

If you would like to contribute illustrations to any of our blogs then please do follow me on Twitter @ameliagregory, fashion editor @mattbramf and music editor @caristeel. Keep an eye on our tweets and tweet us back when we need illustrations: we have found it’s the best way for us to work because we often need illustrations quickly to accompany articles. Again I can’t pay you, but I can offer you a fantastic forum for your work to be seen by a wide and appreciative audience. And I recommend my best regular illustrators for articles in other journals, paid jobs and awards, plus there’s the opportunity to appear in my next book: information here. What’s not to like?!
