On Sunday May 27th, between 12pm and 8pm the historic length and breadth of Dean Street in Soho will be closed to traffic to host the Soho Flea Market, organised by City Showcase in support of HIV and sexual health charity Terrence Higgins Trust. City Showcase has been supporting, identifying and developing up and coming musical talent since 2003, but this is the first year it extends its work to showcase artists, illustrators and designers. So if you head down to Dean Street next Sunday you will be able to indulge in a little shopping from the creative market stalls whilst listening to and watching emerging music and comedy acts performing on an outdoor stage. During the day, businesses on and around Dean Street, including Soho Theatre, Dean Street Studios, The French House, The Soho House Group, The Groucho Club, Candy Bar, Zenna Bar and Blacks, will be supporting Soho Flea Market and many of them will be hosting special events, art exhibitions, fashion shows and live music. Below is a sneak peak into some of the designers you will encounter at the stalls, a lot of whom have sustainability at their core.
