Carl Partridge Relics Beach London
Central Saint Martins Communication Design graduate Carl Partridge is hosting his debut solo show at the Beach London gallery on Cheshire Street just off Brick Lane.

At his MA graduate show Carl Partridge won me over with his zany sticker prints inspired by a version of America that he has never experienced himself. Relics is advertised by a vintage plastic toy bunny grinning inanely – whatever more can we expect?!

Interests include Objects & Ephemera, The 1950's & 80's, Forgotten Formats, and the Handmade. The work has a collaged based tactile aesthetic, collating a variety of materials. Relying on an active imagination, Carl often pursues subjects deliberately as an outsider. Thereʼs a strong nostalgic Americana theme to the work, focusing on contemporary oddities, objects, and neglected relics. This Exhibition will explore the importance of objects and collections. Asking questions of the viewer such as how and why is something suddenly considered of real worth? And when does an object become shelf worthy?

Facebook event here. The private view is on November 3rd between 6-9pm.
