Business-Bootcamp-fashion bootcamp centre for fashion enterprise
In a few weeks time I will be teaching on the inaugural Fashion Bootcamp from the Centre for Fashion Enterprise. It's a new concept designed to improve the confidence of new fashion designers and help propel their ideas successfully out into the marketplace. It's being led by Toby Meadows, who recently wrote the book: How to Set Up and Run a Fashion Label. I met Toby on my trip to Moscow with the British Council and believe me, he is a man who knows how to set up and run a fashion business. He's advised many of the most exciting up and coming names in the business, and I'm thrilled to be working with him.

The intensive weekend programme will provide expert support for entrepreneurs to test out plans to launch a new label, idea or product. I'll be there specifically to advise on best methods to reach the media and get your work seen. This will include lots of talk about SEO (don't be scared, I'll make it simple) and of course social media marketing strategies, enabling creatives to reach the widest possible target audience.

I will be teaching alongside Stephanie Firth, Retail expert, Sanjeev Davidson, Branding expert, Katie Green, Supply chain expert, Sue Meadows, Voice and presentation skills expert, Mark Norden, Small Business Finance expert and Charles Russell, a Legal expert. For a full bio on each expert, check in here.

Blimey… where else would you be able to meet such a wide range of experts in one place?! The full Fashion Bootcamp programme is here. At Fashion Bootcamp you will be able to:

•Test your ideas and get expert feedback
•Develop your launch plan
•Learn how to, and practise, pitching
•Build your sector knowledge
•Build new networks

Best of all, at the end of the weekend there is a cash prize of £1000 for the best idea! Well, it wouldn't be a bootcamp without some kind of incentive would it?!

The days run from 9.30am – 5.30pm on Saturday and 5pm on Sunday. There are just a few spaces left now so do register quick if you think it might be of interest. Follow Toby Meadows and the Centre for Fashion Enterprise on twitter for updates.
