Edwina Ashton
The 'Show' exhibition, curated by Sarah Williams, seeks to “examine the integral role that performance plays within an artist’s practice and its subsequent representation in an exhibition context” … we’re not sure exactly what this means, but the Jerwood centre has a reputation for being experimental so it should be interesting!

We will pay special attention to the work from Edwina Ashton, the London-based artist who has had recent work shown at Tate Britain, the Barbican and Works Projects in Bristol. For ‘Show’ she will be doing what the programme calls ‘lobster arranging’, in a piece called ‘Peaceful serious creatures’. Further performances from Jack Strange and Bedwyr Williams.
‘Show’ will run at JVA at Jerwood Space, 171 Union Street, London SE1 0LN, between 16th March and 21st April, admission is free but you will need to pre-book. The gallery is open Monday – Friday 10am to 5pm, and on weekends 10am to 3pm. See the website for the up-to-date performance schedule.
