With a week of catwalk shows, exhibitions and talks Bath In Fashion is promising to be a delight. The emphasis will be the catwalk shows; one on the 2000 year old pavements of The Roman Baths, another in a former Georgian Chapel and then intriguingly, an 'underground' show in a car park.

But apart from catwalk pizazz, there will be workshops and stunning exhibitions. These include a two day workshop by Julian Roberts in the Assembly Rooms. The designer will be demonstrating how to make a garment, before participants will be able to make their own pieces. Local fashion guru, Iain R. Webb will be having a chat with Rosemary Harden, the Manager of the Fashion Museum, in a talk entitled; Candid Catwalk. Whilst textile artist, Karen Nicol will be giving a talk at The Loft.

In terms of exhibitions, the Fashion Museum will be putting on: What Will She Wear; The Enduring Romance of the Wedding Dress. This will include 20 beautiful dresses from the Fashion Museum's collection. Meanwhile No1 Royal Crescent will be putting on a Georgian exhibition and The American Museum in Britain will have be have on their; Marilyn – Hollywood Icon, exhibition.

In addition March 27 will see a Vintage Fashion and Textile Fair in the Assembly Rooms, Oxfam Boutique shall be putting on a 'Big Swish', recycling fashion in aid of MacMillan and there will be in store events and promotions throughout all the shops during the week.

The headline shows will be produced by John Walford, who has worked with Vivienne Westwood and Stella McCartney among others, and is the founder of Vauxhall Fashion Scout. He will be teamed with Stylist and Editor of Fashion.Music.Style magazine, Rebekah Roy, who has worked with designer Alice Palmer, William Tempest and Stefan Orschel.
