Tristram will be headlining the night.
A few months back, we attended a night tailor-made for Amelia's Magazine (you can read about it here), a potent brew of art, alt:folk and mulled wine, all served up in the unlikely setting of an ex-dairy farm in Deptford. Luckily for us, the event was such a success that it will return for more nights, starting with this event on Saturday 26th Febuary. Featuring performances by some of the most up-and-coming and talented folk musicians around: Tristram (Broken Sounds), Laish (Willkommen Collective) and Kristin McClement (Willkommen Collective), Folie à Deux is shaping up to becoming a alt:folk barometer of bands that you need to know about in 2011. Next door there will also be the opportunity to view the art exhibition Floorwork until 9pm displaying the work of Philippa Johnson who – focusing on surface, texture and highlighting the beauty of everyday objects – will be transforming Utrophia's gallery's space by weaving an intricately patterned rug out of adhesive tape.
Tickets are £4 and can be brought through Ticketmaster.
