View from Rockefeller Center
Gorgeous, sweeping photographs of New York City make up Christopher Thomas' exhibition 'New York Sleeps'. Taken early in the morning with no people around, the images show an unusual view of the busy city. German photographer Thomas spent nearly a decade photographing the Big Apple, his second home, using a custom-made camera and large-format Polaroid film. The resulting presentation is beautiful and loving.
'New York Sleeps' runs until 26th February at The Wapping Project Bankside, which is open Tuesday to Saturday between 10am to 6pm. We attended the opening on 11 January – read our review here.
