Luna Collaboration- Laura Alice Hart, a fashion photographer whose clients include The Guardian, The Observer, The Telegraph and Drama Magazine, and Lee Simmons, an installation artist who has previously used a sheep, a cliff and the ocean as her painting canvasses, bring to the uniquely atmospheric Electricians Shop Basement, E14 a collaborative project running over this weekend. Starting with a Preview Party this Thursday 22nd July.
On the nights of 19th and 20th May 2010, Laura Alice Hart and Lee Simmons embarked on a fashion photography and land art collaboration on the bed of the River Thames. Simmons worked by the light of the moon to create abstract, coloured landscapes on the river bed. These environments were then illuminated and investigated via fashion and photography by Hart, working against the creeping incoming tide.
The exhibition will contain three elements; the fashion photographs, documentation of the event with fading colours post shoot and traces of the original land art through site-specific installations within the exhibition space.
