Here's a fashion exhibition with a difference. For a limited period only, you can indulge yourself in Artangel's The Concise Dictionary of Dress.
Set in the imposing Blythe House, the V&A's designated building for their reserve collections (aka The V&A vaults!), this exhibition sees fashion curator Judith Clark and psychoanalyst Adam Phillips present an altogether different view of fashion. With a psychological emphasis (including fashion's influence on anxiety, wishes and desire, the exhibition is woven through the building with pyschological definitions by Adam Philips. It features clothing exhibits as well as photographs and cast objects.
Confused? I've read the press release a dozen times and I am too, which is why this exhibition is so fascinating. Our contributor Sally Mumby Croft is going to check out the exhibition on Thursday so look out for a full review next week!
