Last year we wrote about the AOI exhibition of illustrations to promote the wonders of cycling, done in collaboration with the London Transport Museum. You can read Jenny Robin's very entertaining and perceptive review right here.
Well, it must have been a very big success because they are back with another exciting joint competition. The 2011 Serco Prize for Illustration takes as its theme the River Thames and asks illustrators to take the river as “a central feature of London and London life.” And by that they would like you to extol its benefits, before you get carried away with nefarious sewage pumping activities or the like.
Once again the top 50 entries will be on display at the London Transport Museum that will open in May 2011. And you haven't got long to get your image in because the deadline for entires is 5pm (precisely) on the 23rd March. What are you waiting for? The top prize is also a whopping £2000.
The ensuing exhibition will be from the 10th May – 3rd June 2011. They haven't even waited a whole year since the last one! More details on the AOI website here.
